I chose it.

 

2. What is your background? (education, work, etc.)

I have worked in higher education for about 25 years.

 

3. When did you 'know' you were a writer?

I have always loved to write poetry and such.

 

4. How would you describe your style of writing?

Inspirational and liberating.

 

5. What is your writing process?

I am driven by emotion.

 

6. What was your path to publication?

I self published through Author House because I knew that this first book may not be a publishing house draw.

 

7. What is your favorite self-marketing idea?

Book marks.

 

8. What are the biggest surprises you've encountered as a writer?

How fickle readers are.

 

9. How do you inspire yourself? What are your sources of creativity?

I am inspired by my surroundings.  Especially the ocean.

 

10. What is your proudest writer moment?

When my book was actually sent to me after publishing.

 

11. What's the best advice you were given about writing?

Work at it and don't devalue your work.  It will touch someone somewhere in some way.

 

12. What is your most embarrassing writer moment?

Hmm?

 

13. What business challenges have you faced as a writer?

Minimal sales.

 

14. What is your writer life philosophy?

To change the world by self expression.

 

15. When you're not writing what do you do for fun?

Enjoy wine, travel, and surf the WEB.

 

16. Who do you like to read?

I love to read many things.  I don't have a favorite author.

 

17. What’s your advice for new writers?

Never give up!

 

18. What are you currently working on?

The story of Betita. I am also working on a family historical piece.
